A new headspace centre will open in Edmondson Park in south-west Sydney in the coming months.
headspace is the primary national platform for young people aged 12-25 years old who are experiencing, or at risk of, mild to moderate mental illness.
headspace services provide care in four key areas – mental health, related physical and sexual health, alcohol and other drug support, and vocational services.
The new headspace Edmondson Park will be located at Shop AG02 Edmondson Square, 52 Soldiers Parade, Edmondson Park NSW 2174
The centre is easily accessible by walking, car, bus and train services. The centre will offer free holistic mental health support to young people living across the region.
In 2023-24, the Government is investing over $290 million in the headspace program.
There are currently 160 headspace services operating nationally, with commitments to grow the network to 173 by 2025-26.
headspace Edmondson Park has been commissioned by the South Western Sydney Primary Health Network and will be operated by Grand Pacific Health.
For young people who prefer online or phone support, eheadspace provides free, telephone and web-based services to young people aged 12 to 25 years with, or at risk of, developing mental illness. Further information on eheadspace is available online at: www.headspace.org.au or by phoning 1800 650 890.
