Roadmap Implementation Governance Group (RIGG)

The Roadmap Implementation Governance Group oversees the implementation of the national roadmap for improving the health of people with intellectual disability.

Role

The Roadmap Implementation Governance Group (RIGG) oversees implementation of the National Roadmap for Improving the Health of People with Intellectual Disability.

The RIGG provides advice on implementation and ensures the roadmap is:

  • overseen by a diverse group of health and disability stakeholders
  • carried out in an inclusive and transparent way.

The RIGG will:

  • make information about the roadmap available, and publish yearly progress reports
  • make reports accessible to people with intellectual disability
  • consult with people with intellectual disability and their families and carers in
    • planning and evaluation of specific actions under the roadmap
    • designing an evaluation of the roadmap after 3, 6 and 10 years of implementation
    • future reviews and updates, to maintain focus on the health of people with intellectual disability in the design and delivery of health policies and programs.
