Private Health Ministerial Advisory Committee

This committee looked at all aspects of private health insurance and provided advice about reforms to the Australian Government.

Role

The role of the committee was to advise the Government about reforms, including:

  • easy-to-understand categories of health insurance
  • standard definitions for medical procedures
  • meeting the needs of people living in rural and remote areas
