NDIS Reform Advisory Committee

The National Disability Insurance Scheme Reform Advisory Committee will give independent advice from people with disability on implementing reforms to the NDIS.

Role

The NDIS Reform Advisory Committee  will bring together the different and diverse voices of people with disability. It will advise the Disability Reform Ministerial Council (DRMC) and the Minister for the NDIS.

The committee will:

  • monitor and advise on implementing the reforms to the NDIS, including in response to the:
    • Independent Review into the NDIS (NDIS Review)
    • NDIS-related reforms from the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (DRC)
  • advise DRMC on effective ways to engage with people with lived experience
  • ensure the DRMC hears the diverse voices, views and lived experience of people with disability.

Members

The Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, Senator the Hon Jenny McAllister, appointed the committee members. This followed a public expression of interest process.
