Professional skills development

When you join the department, you’ll have access to a wide range of induction and training programs. We’ll help you build your expertise through in-person and online training, short courses, and self-paced learning.

Our offerings include:

Studies assistance

We offer a generous studies assistance scheme that can cover up to 100% of your course fees if the study relates to your role. You can apply for up to 7.5 hours of study leave per week. Extra leave is available for employees who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, have disability or come from a non-English speaking background.
