Looking after your health during the menopause transition is really important.

As we age, there are changes in our hormones in our body, so having a really healthy diet and exercise is really important.

30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise every day is recommended for a healthy lifestyle, as well as having a diet that is rich in vegetables, fruits, protein, fibre, lots of water, and reducing saturated fats and sugars, reducing the consumption of alcohol and not smoking.

These are key things for us to have a healthy lifestyle.

What it also means is that it will help to maintain a really healthy and balanced weight that is good for your age.

Sleep can be such a challenge, but it's such an important part of our functioning. Good sleep absolutely means that we are functioning better.

So if you have any concerns with your sleep, speak to your GP or doctor about it. It is part and parcel of having a healthy lifestyle alongside good diet and exercise.
