Receptionist: Hi, how can we help you today?
Mum: My son Noah cut his finger. It might need stitches.
Receptionist: I understand. Do you have his Medicare card?
Mum: Yes, here it is.
Receptionist: Thank you. I’ll register him now. A nurse will see him shortly. Please have a seat.
Triage Nurse: Noah? Hi, I’m Nurse Linda. Let’s look at your finger. How did this happen?
Mum: He was playing and cut it on some sharp metal.
Triage Nurse: I see. I’ll clean it now, and then the doctor will see you to decide what’s needed.
Doctor: Hello, Noah. I’m Dr. Stevens. Let’s have a closer look at that finger.
Ahh, I can see it’s a deep cut and needs a couple of stitches. I’ll numb the area first and then get you fixed up.
Doctor: All done!
Mum: Thank you, Dr. Stevens.
Doctor: You’re welcome. Take care!
