  • Traumatic Brain Injury Mission

    The Traumatic Brain Injury Mission is investing $50 million to improve patient recovery after brain injury. It will support projects that predict recovery outcomes, or identify the most effective care and treatments.
  • Triple P – Positive Parenting Program

    Triple P, the positive parenting program, is a free, evidence‑based parenting support system that gives parents and carers practical strategies to build strong relationships, manage behaviour, reduce stress and improve child wellbeing.
  • Upcoming changes to MBS Chronic Disease Management Arrangements

    Changes to the Medicare Benefits Schedule items for chronic disease management have been deferred from 1 November 2024 until 1 July 2025. The additional time will support all practices and providers, including GPs and allied health providers, to be ready for the changes to these important services.
  • Virtual nursing in aged care

    We are developing and testing a framework to deliver virtual nursing services to improve clinical care for older people in residential aged care homes.
  • Workforce Incentive Program

    The WIP improves access to quality medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health services in regional, rural and remote areas. Its financial incentives encourage doctors to work in these areas and support medical practices to employ nurses, midwives and eligible allied health professionals.
  • Working Better for Medicare Review

    This review examined how effective our current health workforce ‘distribution levers’ are. These levers consist of policies and geographic classifications that are intended to distribute health workforce across areas that need them most. The final report is now available.
