This webinar provides information about our current work in the removal of legislative need for collaborative arrangements for nurse practitioners and endorsed midwives.

Representatives from the Department of Health and Aged Care will discuss our progress to date in relations to the removal of collaborative arrangements, and other related projects, in removing barriers to nurse practitioner and endorsed midwife practice. Representatives include:

How to watch the webinar

You do not need to RSVP for the webinar, and there is no limit to the number of participants.

To participate in a live webinar, follow these steps:

  • To start a live webinar, click on the ‘launch’ button (no log in is required). For upcoming webinars, this button will only appear 15 minutes prior to the event start time, and once launched will only display a holding image in the video player.
  • After you click on the ‘launch’ button, you will see a video player - this is where you will watch the webinar. For upcoming webinars there will also be a chat window which you can use to submit your questions.

Privacy notice

The Department of Health (Department) is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

The Department uses the Cisco Webex Meetings service (Webex), a cloud-based web and video conferencing solution made available by Cisco to organise and host web meetings. The department also uses Slido, an integrated web-based audience interaction tool made available by Cisco. Conducting Webex meetings and Slido polls/surveys are necessary for the Department to manage its functions and activities (Functions). As part of performing its Functions, the Department may record video and audio meetings and obtain autogenerated transcripts of the meeting, as well as obtain a record of poll/survey responses made using Slido (Recordings).

The Department may collect the following personal information about you:

  • name and likeness, email address, phone number, photographs, text (for chats), answers to poll / surveys / Q&A sessions, digital images and video and audio recordings taken of you and your voice and quotes from you, and
  • information about you, including revealing your participation in the meeting, and your opinion on the subjects discussed during the meeting.

The Department is collecting this personal information about you for the primary purpose of performing its Functions. The Recordings will be used to:

  • allowing staff /stakeholders to refer back to the meeting to confirm certain points that were discussed, or outcomes agreed upon,
  • enabling staff / stakeholders who missed a meeting to catch-up on what was discussed,
  • have a record of the meeting for evidentiary purposes,
  • eliminate the need for staff to make detailed meeting minutes, and
  • allow staff refer to poll/survey responses that were obtained.

Your information may also be used for other purposes. In the event the personal information will be collected for a secondary purpose, the meeting chair should discuss this at the beginning of the recording.

If the Department is unable to collect your personal information, the Department will not be able to record meetings, meaning staff will need to take detailed minutes of meetings and take manual records of attendance.

If the Department discloses or may disclose personal information collected as part of recording to third party recipient entities, bodies or persons, this should be discussed by the meeting chair at the start of the recording. The Department is unlikely to disclose your personal information to overseas recipients.

The Department has an APP privacy policy which you can read at You can obtain a copy of the APP privacy policy by contacting the Department using the contact details set out at the end of this notice. The APP privacy policy contains information about:

  • how you may access the personal information the Department holds about you and how you can seek correction of it, and
  • how you may complain about a breach of:
    • the APPs, or
    • a registered APP code that binds the Department; and
    • how the Department will deal with such a complaint.
