Staying up to date with your vaccinations is very important.
It is possible to get COVID-19 again.
Boosters protect people who have had COVID-19 recently from reinfection, hospitalisation, severe disease and death.
You should get a booster dose as soon as you are eligible. You can have this before, or at the same time as your flu shot.
A booster will make sure the protection from the primary course of vaccination is even stronger and longer lasting.
If you have recently had COVID-19, you can get your next dose 3 months after you tested positive.
Check your eligibility on the Department of Health website or call the National Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080. If you need an interpreter, you can press option 8.
