Nama saya Fikri.

My name is Fikri. I am from Indonesia. Here in Australia I am a student at the University of Melbourne.

Today Fikri is getting his COVID-19 vaccination.

You can get your free COVID-19 vaccination at Commonwealth vaccine clinics and state or territory vaccine clinics.

You do not need a Medicare card to get your vaccination at these clinics.

You can bring someone you trust with you on the day, such as a family member or friend, support worker or carer.

The person giving your vaccination will ask for your consent before you have the vaccine.

They will also ask you questions about your medical history and if you are feeling well on the day. You can ask them questions about the COVID-19 vaccines.

I feel very lucky to be able to get this opportunity. I feel quite enthusiastic, quite excited to get the vaccine today and become a part of the community.

After your vaccination, you will be asked to wait at the clinic for 15 to 30 minutes, to make sure you are okay.

You need two doses of the vaccine to give you as much protection as possible against becoming seriously sick from COVID-19. The person giving your vaccination will tell you when to make an appointment for your second dose.
