COVID-19 vaccination – Video – Professor James Ward: When is it my turn?
In this video, Professor James Ward explains why Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples will be some of the first to be offered the COVID-19 vaccines.
While we’ve had much success in containing COVID-19 so far in our communities, we’ve still got a long way to go. COVID-19 remains a risk to our population and will continue to do so for a long time to come.
Australia’s COVID-19 vaccine program has prioritised Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people based on good evidence. This is being done to protect ourselves, our communities, our culture and our traditions. So when it’s your turn for vaccine, step up and encourage all your mob to do the same as well.
