About the activity
We are funding organisations to provide independent analysis and advice on where we need GP registrars and training across the regions. This is to support the transition to college-led general practice training.
These organisations will:
- recommend which GP catchments are most in need of GP registrars
- document current training capacity
- provide information on where we need future training capacity
- set out pathways for registrars to complete all training within regions
- work with relevant stakeholders to include their data, insight and advice.
This work will help us and the colleges meet GP workforce needs – now and in the future.
