Closed for applications on 10 August 2018. Results announced 8 March 2019.

Results: residential aged care and capital grants

The 2018–19 ACAR allocated:

  • 13,500 residential aged care places — 65% for new services and 35% for existing services
  • $60 million in capital grants

We received:

  • applications seeking a total of 37,802 residential aged care places
  • capital grants applications seeking a total of $394 million in funding

Results: short-term restorative care (STRC)

The 2018–19 ACAR allocated 775 STRC places. These take effect in 2018–19 (350 places) and 2019–20 (425 places).

We received 11,289 applications for STRC places.
