Influenza in kids can be serious. Getting vaccinated against influenza is the best way to protect your child and others from flu. From 2020, the influenza vaccine is available free for children aged 6 months to under 5 years under the National Immunisation Program.
Annual influenza vaccination is recommended for all persons aged 6 months and over (unless contraindicated). This will reduce their chance of becoming ill with influenza.
