A new national sport plan, Sport 2030, aims to help make Australia the world’s most active and healthy sporting nation, known for its integrity and sporting success.

In order to achieve this, the priorities of the plan show a strong commitment to:

  • encouraging Australians to be more active, more often
  • driving sporting excellence
  • safeguarding the integrity of sport; and
  • strengthening the sports industry.

One of the first actions of the plan was to rebrand the Australian Sports Commission as Sport Australia, who have just announced a new grant program to support improvements to community sporting infrastructure.
