We’re looking for your views to inform the development of the National Youth Policy Framework.

The survey provides an opportunity for young Australians aged 18 years and over to provide their views on what is important to them. We’re keen to know about:

  • the experiences of young people navigating their transition to adulthood
  • the issues that are important to them, and what they would like the Australian Government to focus on to ensure they can live a fulfilling life
  • the level of support young people feel that they have and what can be done to assist them to reach their full potential.

The framework provides an overview on how the Australian Government is supporting all young people living in Australia through the implementation of policies and programs. Ultimately, it aims to give a voice to young people in government decisions that affect them.

We had to change our plans to do face-to-face consultation with young Australians, as a result of the border closures and restrictions on public gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While our survey is open to those aged 18 years and over, if you are aged 15 to 17 years, you can still take part. Just email youth.taskforce [at] health.gov.au.

You can have your say in our survey until 11.59pm AEST Monday 12 October 2020.
