Funding boost to help deliver faster medical breakthroughs
More than $12 million is being provided to two research translation centres through the Medical Research Future Fund to help tackle some of Australia’s big health challenges.
Sydney Health Partners and Sydney Partnership for Health, Education, Research and Enterprise (SPHERE) will each receive $6.1 million to support projects that will improve patient care.
These two centres are working on some of Australia’s big health challenges from diabetes, breast cancer and hepatitis C, reducing the impact of chronic disease on children and the more effective use of multiple medications for the elderly.
