As part of the 2018–19 Budget, the Australian Government has provided funding to re-develop the My Aged Care website and service finders. The new website will be easier for consumers to navigate and find information about aged care services, understand the process and support consumer choice.
We now have a fully functioning test website that you can review and provide feedback through the link on the homepage banner. The new My Aged Care website and enhanced service finder will replace the current My Aged Care website in the coming weeks.
You can view the test website at beta.myagedcare.gov.au
As it's a test site, you cannot submit data or enquiries just yet. If you'd like to make a referral or contact us, please visit the current My Aged Care website.
Website enhancements
Extensive user testing and stakeholder engagement activities were undertaken to inform the development of the new website. Enhancements include:
- simple navigation and clear steps to access aged care services
- an updated service finder tool (re-named 'Find a provider') with faster search results, more filter options, consumer friendly language and improved information.
- use of more white space to help people with vision impairments and people with cognitive decline.
- new content written in plain English that answers common questions people have when accessing aged care services.
Updating service provider information
Service providers are encouraged to review their information in the enhanced 'Find a provider' tool to ensure it accurately reflects your service offerings and meets the department's requirements. This will ensure the website provides improved information and a better experience for consumers.
If you need further support to update your information, please contact the My Aged Care provider and assessor helpline on 1800 836 799.
Feedback
To submit feedback on the test website please follow the link on the homepage banner. All feedback will be considered as the department continually improves the website. We will advise you when the new website is scheduled to formally go-live.
