The department has engaged KPMG to undertake a review of the Sector Support and Development (SSD) sub-program under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.
The focus of the review is to identify:
- what outcomes have been achieved
- what opportunities exist to improve the SSD program
- what intersections exist with other programs in the broader aged care system.
Stakeholder consultation process
Consultations will begin with relevant stakeholders from November 2019. Stakeholders will be contacted directly by KPMG to participate in the consultation process.
A final report will be delivered to the department in early 2020.
