You are invited to provide input into how new requirements to strengthen governance of aged care providers should be implemented.

In response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, the Government has proposed new requirements to strengthen the governance of approved aged care providers. If legislation is passed, the new requirements will be phased in from 1 March 2022.

We invite senior Australians interested in governance, providers, peak organisations, advisory groups and others to provide their views by completing the questionnaire by 11:59pm (AEDT) 18 January 2022.

This work is complemented by a 'Governing for Reform in Aged Care' education program, led by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. This program has been launched to help aged care providers strengthen organisational governance and leadership. You can learn more and register your interest here.
