Invitation to participate in focus groups on a Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) for home and community aged care

You are invited to take part in a series of focus groups being run by KPMG that will look at expanding the SIRS. Currently only available in residential aged care, we are looking to extend this to home and community aged care. Have your say in this consultation.

The department is exploring options to expand the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) to home and community aged care and has engaged KPMG to support this process. The SIRS currently only applies to residential aged care, effective from 1 April 2021.

Stakeholder consultation process

Consultations will begin with stakeholders through virtual focus groups from mid-March 2021 to early April 2021.
