The Victorian Department of Health is providing free, online Infection Prevention Control (IPC) training and advice until 24 June 2022.
Topics include hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning and ventilation.
Participants are encouraged to attend these weekly sessions, ask questions and share scenarios:
- Thursdays, 10-11am Basic Principles of Infection Prevention and Control: gain an understanding of how to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Fridays 10:30-11:30am Aged Care Round Table: an open discussion on IPC principles in aged care. Participants can drop in at any time during the session to ask questions or bring their own scenarios for discussion.

These courses will complement the existing COVID-19 IPC training modules provided by the Australian Government Department of Health, and training provided by each provider, including through IPC leads in residential aged care facilities.
