The COVID-19 Aged Care Support Program Extension (GO4863) grant reimburses aged care providers for eligible costs in managing a direct impact of COVID-19 between 28 May 2021 and 31 December 2022.
This grant closed for applications on 31 March 2023.
Under the grant assessment process, where a provider has identified an error, a missed claim or received a late invoice from a vendor, they have been able to submit a revision to their application for consideration on a case-by-case basis. This has contributed to the ongoing delays in processing claims.
Final date to submit revised claims
The Government remains committed to reimbursing providers for all eligible costs through a demand driven grant process.
The allowable claim period for claiming eligible items was up to 31 December 2022, the department allowed providers to submit applications until 31 March 2023. Setting a firm date for final revisions allows the department to finalise all applications and to facilitate payments to providers as soon as possible.
To ensure the department can finalise all claims as soon as possible, providers have until 30 June 2023 to submit their final revised claims, these should be submitted by email to ACSPEGrant@health.gov.au.
No further revisions to claims will be accepted after this deadline.
