On Monday 17 June 2019, the Department of Health made available the data collection template for providers to record client details of their grandfathered clients who are not yet registered on My Aged Care.
Following feedback from the sector and providers about the time needed to complete this task, the department has extended the project deadline from 1 September 2019 to 23 October 2019. This means providers will have more time to enter data about grandfathered clients into the My Aged Care Provider Portal.
Information about this CHSP data collection project, including the data collection template, can be found on the department's website under CHSP News. The provider instructions have been updated following feedback from providers.
All other information updates will be posted on this page, including additional instructions and information about the next stage of the data collection project in the My Aged Care Provider Portal in July.
Individuals who have subscribed to the department's newsletter and those who are nominated as the My Aged Care Organisation Administrator and Team Leads, have already received direct communication about this project.
The department is able to assist service providers by providing an encrypted spreadsheet of their existing clients who are already recorded in My Aged Care. This client information may assist with conducting client searches to identify which clients are not currently registered with My Aged Care.
Due to the sensitive nature of the personal information contained within My Aged Care, service providers requiring access to this data will need to email the CHSP Program with contact details (name and email address) of the most relevant person within the organisation to receive the data. Please be advised that Section 14 of the CHSP Terms and Conditions requires providers to comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) when dealing with personal information.
