Residential aged care providers can now access an online AN-ACC funding and care minutes estimator to help with estimating their potential Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) funding and care minutes targets for their facility.
The department has updated the residential aged funding reform webpage, including the introduction of a ‘Latest Updates’ section and release of new fact sheets on:
- reporting of care staffing minutes in the Quarterly Financial Statements from 1 July 2022 for the September quarter;
- palliative care entry arrangements from July 2022;
- the residential respite funding model commencing 1 October 2022; and
- the role of the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority in providing advice about pricing under the AN-ACC funding model from July 2023.
A number of existing fact sheets on the funding reform resources webpage have also been updated with new information based on sector feedback from recent engagement activities hosted by the department.
We encourage providers to regularly visit the residential aged care funding reform and the funding reform resources webpages for the latest information to help with their transition to the new AN-ACC funding model from 1 October 2022.
Providers can also email ACFR@health.gov.au if they have any questions or feedback.
