$22 million for early-stage health and medical research

Funding under the Medical Research Future Fund will support Australia’s world class researchers to fast-track health and medical breakthroughs.

More than $22 million will be provided to one or more Australian organisations to help move early-stage health and medical research discoveries to commercial success.

The funding, through the Biomedical Translation Bridge program, aims to improve health outcomes for Australians through the development of preventative interventions, cures and treatments for diseases.

Applications for the grant round opened on 13 July 2018 and will close on 21 August 2018. Read more about the announcement and application process in the media release.
