Highly experienced senior executive Ms Robyn Kruk AO has been appointed Acting Chair of the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) Board.
She takes over from Ms Glenys Beauchamp AO PSM, who has served as Chair since September 2021. Ms Kruk will fill the role while a recruitment process for a permanent Chair is completed.
The acting arrangements will maintain stable leadership and ensure continuity for FSANZ, which will continue to operate as usual, with no impact on food standards development or regulatory decision making.
A binational statutory authority, FSANZ operates across Australia and New Zealand, supporting food regulation nationally and at the state, territory and local levels.
Millions of Australian and New Zealand consumers benefit from FSANZ’s work. Ms Kruk’s appointment will serve the entire populations of both countries, who rely on safe, evidence-based food standards, along with the food industry and regulators.
The process to recruit a permanent Chair is expected to commence by late March 2026, with the position to be advertised on APS Jobs.
