Biography
Mark Butler has been the Labor Member for Port Adelaide and Hindmarsh in the Federal Parliament since 2007 and is the Minister for Health, Disability and Ageing.
Mark served as Minister for Ageing and Australia’s first Minister for Mental Health in the Gillard Government. He has also held the ministries of Housing, Homelessness, Social Inclusion, Climate Change, Water and the Environment.

1.6 million cheaper medicines in January
New analysis by the Department of Health and Aged Care shows that more than 1.6 million prescriptions for medicines on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) were cheaper in January, after the maximum co-payment was reduced from $42.50 to $30. -

All adults now eligible for a 2023 COVID-19 booster dose
The Australian Government has accepted advice from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) that all adults who have not had a COVID-19 booster or a confirmed case in the past six months can now get another booster.
