Health Services Division

This Division is responsible for major health service programmes including primary and mental health care, acute care, dental and allied health.

The Division comprises the following branches:

Hospitals and Acute Services Branch

This Branch is responsible for health and hospital infrastructure, private hospitals, blood financing and programmes and organ and blood quality management.

Mental Health Early Intervention Branch

This Branch is responsible for promotion, prevention and early intervention in mental health with a particular focus on national leadership, sector engagement, child and youth mental health, and suicide prevention.

Mental Health Services Branch

This Branch is responsible for primary mental health care services, coordinated care, and e-mental Health.

Primary Healthcare Branch

This Branch is responsible for General Practice support, primary care infrastructure, allied health, dental benefits, chronic disease management and maternity services.

PHN Establishment Branch

This Branch is responsible for the establishment of the Primary Health Care Networks, as well as developing operational policy, collaboration, communication and infrastructure.

Mental Health Reform Taskforce

This Taskforce is responsible for Policy, Support, Mental Health Policy and Secretariat support for implementing mental health reform.
