Hearing well keeps you connected with family and friends, community and culture.

But did you know, one in 6 people in Australia have problems with their hearing?

When you can’t hear well, you can feel like you’re missing out on things – like yarns with family and friends, important news at work or even the referee’s call at the footy.

But you don’t have to miss out because help for hearing loss is available.

If you identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person and are 50 years and over, hearing checks are FREE.

Remember, lots of people have trouble hearing as they get older and there’s no shame in getting help, to keep you connected.

Ask your doctor or health worker about a hearing check or visit health.gov.au/hearing to find out more.
