Panel of Clinical Experts

The Panel of Clinical Experts assesses the clinical functionality and effectiveness of products being considered for listing on the Prostheses List.

Role

The role of the Panel of Clinical Experts is to assess and advise the Prostheses List Advisory Committee (PLAC) and the Department of Health on the suitability of products for listing on the Prostheses List.

The panel is used for assessing those categories of products for which there are no Clinical Advisory Groups.
