Role
The Ministerial Advisory Committee on Blood Borne Viruses and Sexually Transmissible Infections (MACBBVSTI) is the Australian Government’s key advisory body on the national response and management of:
- bloodborne viruses (BBV)
- sexually transmissible infections (STI).
MACBBVSTI advises the Government on:
- emerging trends and issues relating to BBVs and STIs that need immediate attention
- approaches to improving engagement with priority populations identified in the 5 national strategies for bloodborne viruses and sexually transmissible infections.
