Audit and Best Practice for Chronic Disease Extension (ABCDE) Indigenous Health Partnership
The ABCDE project provides training in the core competency necessary for health professionals to implement continuous quality. The objective is to increase the capacity of Indigenous Primary Health Care organisations to prevent and manage chronic conditions.The project is actively recruiting Aboriginal Managed Services across NSW, NT, SA, Qld and WA.
Centre of Research Excellence in Patient Safety (CREPS)
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Centre of Research Excellence in Patient Safety (CREPS) was established to design, conduct, promote and promulgate high quality multi-centre research to improve quality, safety, efficiency and effectiveness of health care for Australians. Funding for this national centre is provided by the Commission following NHMRC recognition of its capacity to undertake important research in safety and quality.General Practice Partnership
RACGP was initially funded to adapt 5 safety and quality packages developed by the former Council for use in primary care. The following four projects were completed in 2006:- Safety and Quality Education modules;
- Infection Control Guidelines for General Practice (4th edition);
- 10 tips for safer health care: what everyone needs to know for general practice; and
- Ensuring Correct Patient, Correct Site, Correct Procedure for general practice settings.
