13. Within the mechanisms identified by the Australian Government Blueprint for Action in Indigenous Affairs for working in rural, remote and urban areas:
  • Provide mechanisms such as the Indigenous Community Health Brokerage Service budget measure to facilitate increased access to and choice of mainstream health services in urban areas;
  • Continue to support a range of health and workforce measures funded under the Rural Health Strategy, covering rural and remote areas, and including activities targeting community capacity building, health promotion and improving access to health services;
  • Support the Medical Specialist Outreach Assistance Program (MSOAP) and the Rural Specialist Support Program;
  • Support the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
