Multicomponent management of delirium symptoms include:

ensuring good communication and the use of interpreters, liaison officers and communication aids;
using vision and hearing aids;
ensuring pain relief is adequate;
encouraging activity, such as mobility and ADLs;
educating client, family and carers;
relaxation techniques;
reorientation and reassurance strategies;
prevent complications;
ensuring hydration is adequate;
involving family/carer involvement; and
using antipsychotic medications.
