To make the process of searching for records more effective and efficient for Link-Up workers:
- Protocols could be developed with all key government and non-government record-holding agencies in all jurisdictions, and a comprehensive list of these be provided on the new website to be developed for the programs (see following text). OATSIH could play a role in developing and promoting these, particularly through MCATSIA.
- All Link-Up workers could be encouraged or required to undertake regular training on record-searching – this training could be conducted, for example, by AIATSIS or the SEWB RCs.
