This report Effective Caring : a synthesis of the international evidence on carer needs and interventions - aims to identify the needs of carers including the factors that sustain carers in their caring role, identify interventions and to develop a research agenda. The report is based on the Centre for Health Service Development, University of Wollongong, 2007 review of Australian and international academic and practice literature, together with a concurrent analysis of policy and practice in Australia.
