Interim Evaluation of the Northern Territory Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Aged Care Workforce Development Projects - Attachments
7. Conclusions
GGJ undertook the evaluation of the Northern Territory Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Aged Care Workforce Development Projects using both quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
The quantitative data analysis will enable conclusions about the success of the initiative to communities and individual workers in the Northern Territory to be made. These conclusions will be able to be compared with results from other states if similar initiatives are implemented.
A case study approach will also be undertaken to ensure that qualitative data is collected in the conduct the evaluation. The case study approach will involve the collection of qualitative data through face to face and telephone interviews. This will allow an in-depth look at individual experiences and community experiences as a whole in response to the implementation of the Projects.
The approach of this evaluation is culturally sensitive to the needs of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities of NT. It will allow for barriers in communication and disruption to Indigenous communities to be minimised whilst ensuring extensive data collection.
