Throughout the project, regular meetings were held with the Rural and Indigenous Health Outreach Section of the Rural Health Services and Policy Branch of DoHA. Preliminary versions of the sections of the final report were included in the progress reports for the project. Draft recommendations were discussed with the Rural Health Services and Policy Branch on 5 August 2011. A draft report was provided to the Rural Health Services and Policy Branch on 31 August, 2011.

At that stage the survey of service providers had not closed, and the case studies for Burnie (Tasmania) and the Tele-Derm service had not been completed. In addition, there were still a small number of stakeholders to be interviewed. Following receipt of feedback on the draft report from Rural Health Services and Policy Branch, the final report was submitted in September 2011.
