Ms Aurora Andruska, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA), has informed me of her decision to retire from the public sector on completion of her current term on 9 May 2014.

Ms Andruska has had a long and distinguished career in the public service in addition to her current position as CEO of ASADA.

I would like to thank Ms Andruska for her dedication and service over 37 years and wish her well for future endeavours.

I know she will complete her current term unwaveringly to deliver the Australian Government’s commitment to integrity in sport.

I have asked my Departmental Secretary to undertake a selection process and advise me of suitable candidates in due course.

The Secretary of the Department of Health will oversee the recruitment process, including the appointment of the assessment panel members and chairing the panel.
