Kewell will join other high-profile Australians, including Cathy Freeman and Kieran Perkins, as a Healthy Active Ambassador.

As an ambassador, Kewell’s role will include working with schools, community groups and the media as part of the Government’s ongoing campaign to tackle obesity.

His appointment should help to inform young Australians about the importance of good nutrition, physical activity and healthy living.
