The Government is in Caretaker Mode

19 July 2010

The caretaker period extends from the date of dissolution of the House of Representatives at 5pm on Monday 19 July 2010 to the day the election result is clear or, in the event of a change of government, until a new government is appointed. The date of the election is 21 August 2010.

Information on this website will be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions circulated by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
