Australian Government Responds to Renal Study with $13m Funding

The Northern Territory towns of Alice Springs and Tennant Creek will receive $13 million for accommodation to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families affected by renal disease. The Minister for Indigenous Health, Warren Snowdon, said the new funding was the first step towards addressing some of the issues raised in the Central Australia Renal Study, issued today.

Live Longer! Indigenous Health Program Arrives at Community Expo Day in Sydney

The Minister for Indigenous Health, Warren Snowdon, has visited the Tharawal Aboriginal Medical Service in Sydney to launch a Community Expo Day highlighting a new healthier lifestyle program called lively Djuarli. Djurali means Live Well and the Live Healthily in Dharawal program is aimed at helping people in the local community live healthier lifestyles.
