Elective surgery boost to treat additional patients
More than 5800 extra patients will receive their elective surgery at Victorian hospitals over the next three months as a result of the first stage of a joint Australian Government/Victorian Government $60 million elective surgery blitz, the Victorian Premier, John Brumby, and Australian Government Minister for Health and Ageing, Nicola Roxon, announced on 14 March.
