National Mental Health Plan 2007
The National Mental Health Report series is the key mechanism for monitoring the way in which mental health services in Australia are funded and delivered. The 2007 Report is the tenth in the series and presents data on progress to achieve national reform activities under the National Mental Health Strategy. The information provided includes expenditure, service mix, workforce, activity levels including patients treated, and arrangements for consumer and carer participation.
This Report updates previous reports and includes all available information to 2004-05. It tracks changes over the twelve years since the first report was released and covers all specialised mental health services managed or funded by state and territory health administrations. The Report collates data on private mental health services and from the Australian Government through the Medicare Benefits Schedule, Pharmaceutical Benefits Schedule and the Department of Veteran's Affairs.
