Decreased Fee for Echocardiography

From 1 September 2006, the MBS Schedule Fee for Echocardiography items 55113, 55114 and 55115 has been decreased from $230.65 to $226.05.

The responsibility for managing Medicare-funded Diagnostic Imaging services and determining strategies for maintaining and improving the quality, accessibility and affordability of these services is undertaken cooperatively between Diagnostic Imaging representative groups and the Government as represented by the Department of Health and Ageing.
