Set A health warnings - cigarette packs

Note: The following health warnings were required under the Trade Practices (Consumer Product Information Standards) (Tobacco) Regulations 2004. These will no longer be permitted from 1 December 2012. From 1 December 2012 only health warnings under the Competition and Consumer (Tobacco) Information Standard 2011 are permitted.

Set A graphic health warnings for cigarettes, cartons, loose tobacco and pipe tobacco were required from 1 March to 31 October in years ending with an even number (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012).

    Smoking causes peripheral vascular disease

    Smoking causes emphysema

  • Text: Emphysema is a disease where the airsacs in the lungs are gradually destroyed, making it hard to breathe. Sufferers describe it as a living, breathing hell. Nearly all emphysema is caused by tobacco smoking.

    Smoking causes mouth and throat cancer

    Smoking - a leading cause of death

    Quitting will improve your health
