The purpose of the Public Summary Documents is to provide public access to information pertaining to Stoma Product Assessment Panel (SPAP) recommendations.

The Public Summary Documents provide a rationale behind SPAP recommendations and assist all stakeholders in gaining a better understanding of the Stoma Appliance Scheme (SAS) listing process.

These documents contain the applicant’s comment on the outcome of the recommendation, and may include future intention/s with respect to the application.

Public Summary Documents are generally only available for SPAP considerations relating to the listing of stoma related products and may not be available for other considerations, such as those relating to confidential policy discussions.

Positive recommendations by SPAP for benchmark or price premium listings must be taken forward through appropriate approval processes before a product is listed on the SAS. In relation to price premium products, recommendations will be taken forward to Government and considered at the earliest opportunity.
