The former Indigenous Sport and Active Recreation Programme (ISARP) was one of 150 Indigenous programmes and activities that transferred to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet following machinery of government changes in September 2013. From 1 July 2014, these 150 Indigenous programmes and activities were streamlined into five flexible, broad programmes that focus on the Government’s priorities of getting children to school, adults to work and making communities safer. This means that funding under the ISARP is now no longer available and organisations need to apply for funding from one or more of the five new Indigenous Advancement Strategy programmes. The programmes available are:
· Jobs, Land and Economy
· Children and Schooling
· Safety and Wellbeing
· Culture and Capacity
· Remote Australia Strategies
